Cookie Policy
Effective date: 13 September 2026Last updated: 13 September 2026
This Cookie and Local Storage Policy explains how VMO Aero Ltd uses cookies, local storage, application cache, secure device storage, and similar technologies on the website, in Scale, and in BERP.
1. How we use these technologies
These technologies may be used to:
- Maintain authentication sessions.
- Store application or site preferences, such as display settings.
- Support local caching and performance.
- Help protect accounts and verify devices.
- Support analytics, advertising measurement, maps, and authentication.
- Remember a selected aircraft when you move from Fleet to Book.
- Remember an anonymous Briefing Room like session in your browser.
Scale may use local storage mechanisms, including SharedPreferences, on supported devices. BERP may use equivalent browser or application storage for signed-in workplace sessions.
2. Website cookies and storage
Strictly necessary
- vmo_admin_session and vmo_staff_session — httpOnly cookies that keep authorized users signed in to admin or staff tools for up to seven days.
Analytics and advertising
- Google Analytics 4 — measures page views and how the public site is used.
- Google Ads — supports advertising measurement.
- Vercel Analytics — records aggregated traffic and performance on our hosting platform.
Local storage (not cookies, same effect)
- vmo_blog_session_id — an anonymous identifier so each browser can like a Briefing Room article once.
- vmoSelectedAircraft — stores the aircraft you chose so the booking form can be prefilled.
3. Scale and BERP storage
Scale and BERP may store signed-in session data, display preferences, cached operational records, and security tokens on the device or in the browser so authorized staff can keep working securely. Clearing storage, signing out, or disabling permissions may limit features such as attendance, maps, notifications, or saved drafts.
4. Third-party services
Third-party services may set their own cookies or device identifiers. These may include Google (Analytics, Ads, Maps, optional sign-in), Apple sign-in, Supabase, Vercel, email providers, YouTube when you open training videos, and device-sharing functions such as WhatsApp. Their practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Managing storage and cookies
You can manage or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Scale and BERP users can manage or clear application storage through device settings. Signing out, clearing storage, or disabling permissions may affect certain features.
If you continue to use the public website, analytics and advertising tags may still run unless you block them in your browser or an equivalent control.
6. Privacy and retention
Information stored through these technologies may constitute personal data and is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Retention depends on the purpose of the technology and applicable company policies.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy when the website, Scale, or BERP features or technologies change. The latest version will be published on this page.
